Suruç is a municipality and district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. Its area is 744 km2, and its population is 100,961. It is on a plain near the Syrian border 46 kilometres southwest of the city of Urfa. Its inhabitants are Kurds. Suruç is situated 3 km north of Suruç Ovası.
