Palu is a town of of Turkey. It is the seat of . The current mayor is Muhammet Septioğlu. Its population is 9,602. Inhabited since ancient times, Palu was the capital of the classical Armenian region of Balabitene and then, much later, of the Kurdish Emirate of Palu.
