The Aswan Dam, or , is one of the world's largest embankment dams, which was built between 1960 and 1970 across the Nile in , Egypt.

The is an ancient Egyptian temple that was originally located at Bab al-Kalabsha, approximately 50 km south of . In the 1960s the temple was relocated under the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia, and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979, along with other outstanding examples of Nubian architecture including and Amada.
