Yeni Mosque

The Yeni Mosque is a former mosque in partial ruins, located in Mytilene on the island of Lesbos, in the North Aegean region of Greece. It was built in 1825 by local governor Mustafa Agha Koulaxiz, the largest and newest of the Ottoman era mosques on the island. Yeni Mosque is situated 3 km south of Ákra Asfalí.

Kalamiaris palm forest or Panayouda palm forest is a semi-natural small palm forest on the east coast of Lesbos island. The original twenty-four Canary Island Date Palms were planted by the English diplomat Atkinson who brought them from Egypt in the late 19th century.

The Castle of Mytilene, also Fortress of Mytilene, is located in Mytilene on the Greek island of Lesbos, North Aegean. It is maintained in good condition and is one of the largest castles in the Mediterranean covering an area of 60 acres. Castle of Mytilene is situated 3 km southeast of Ákra Asfalí.

Panagiouda is a village on the east coast of Lesbos; 6 km north of Mytilene. As of 2011, Panagiouda had 906 inhabitants which were primarily fishermen.
