Abu Nafisa fort is a ruin located on the left bank of the Nile, in Khartoum Province. It was built by the rulers of Alwa. The enclosure in quadrilateral in layout with internal dimensions measuring 83x78 meters. Abu Nafisa fort is situated 3½ km southeast of Hillat Awlad Hamad.

The Hosh el-Kab fort is a fort in Sudan. Ruins of a stone fort located on the left bank of the Nile, in Khartoum State, at a distance of 40 km from the place where the waters of the White Nile meet with the Blue Nile. Hosh el-Kab fort is situated 3½ km south of Hillat Awlad Hamad.
