Borodino is a village in Mozhaysky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 13 kilometers west of Mozhaysk. The village is famous as the location of the Battle of Borodino that took place on 7 September 1812 as part of the Napoleonic Wars during the French invasion of Russia.
