Södra Sunderbyn is a locality situated in Luleå Municipality, Norrbotten County, Sweden with 2,977 inhabitants in 2010. Northeast of the community, between Highway 97 and Malmbanan, is Sunderby hospital; it was built in the 1990s when hospitals were merged in Luleå and Boden. Södra Sunderbyn is situated 10 km southeast of Kvavisträsket.
