Umeå

Umeå, called Ume by locals, is a city near the mouth of the Ume River. It is the capital of Västerbotten County in northern Sweden, and with about 110,000 citizens it is the largest city in Norrland.
Luleå

Luleå, also called Lule, is the seat of Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. The city lies at the mouth of the Lule River, in the north-west corner of the Gulf of Bothnia. It has about 70,000 inhabitants, a technical university, and a steel mill.
Östersund

Östersund is the seat of Jämtland County in Norrland in Sweden. It was founded in 1786, as the only Swedish city founded during the 18th century.

Norrbotten County

Norrbotten County, Norrbottens län, is the northernmost part of Norrland, Sweden. Bordering to Norway and Finland it covers 100,000 square kilometres, from the tall mountains in the west to the coast and archipelagoes in the east.

Gävleborg County, Gävleborgs län, consists of two provinces, Gästrikland and Hälsingland, which make up the southernmost part of Norrland in Sweden. Most of the country consists of forests.

Västernorrland County

Västernorrland County, Västernorrlands län in Sweden, largely consisting of provinces Ångermanland and Medelpad. The region is dominated by forests, with most of the 240,000 inhabitants living in the coastal cities of Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik and Härnösand.
Jämtland County

Jämtland County is a division of the Norrland region in Sweden, containing the Jämtland province, as well as the smaller province Härjedalen. With 130,000 inhabitants on a land area slightly larger than Denmark, these provinces are known for winter sport and hiking, with some of Sweden's busiest ski resorts.
Kungsleden

Kungsleden is a renowned long-distance hiking trail in northern Sweden, stretching approximately 450 kilometres from Abisko in the north to Hemavan in the south.
