Nagyecsed is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. The old name of the town was Ecsed but over time it has been renamed Nagyecsed, meaning "grand" or "great Ecsed" to distinguish it. Nagyecsed is situated 9 km northwest of Kálmánmajor.

Vállaj is a settlement in the south-eastern corner of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, by the Kraszna river, next to the Hungarian-Romanian border. Vállaj is situated 10 km southwest of Kálmánmajor.
