The Northern Great Plain is a statistical region of Hungary. It is part of the Great Plain and North region. Nyíregyháza is the county seat and largest city in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county in Eastern Hungary.

Jász–Nagykun–Szolnok is an administrative county in Hungary. It lies in central Hungary and shares borders with the Hungarian counties Pest, Heves, Borsod–Abaúj–Zemplén, Hajdú–Bihar, Békés, Csongrád, and Bács–Kiskun.
Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County

Szabolcs–Szatmár–Bereg is an administrative county in northeastern Hungary, bordering Slovakia, Ukraine, and Romania. It shares borders with the Hungarian counties Hajdú–Bihar and Borsod–Abaúj–Zemplén.

Hajdú-Bihar county is in Northern Great Plain. The natural endowments of the county offer horseback riding, fishing and cycling. The favourable climate, the short spring and the long, sunny autumn provide opportunities for hiking.
Lake Tisza

Lake Tisza, also known as Kisköre Reservoir, is the largest artificial lake in Hungary. It is located at the southeastern edge of Heves county, next to counties Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hajdú-Bihar and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok.

National Park Hortobágy - The Puszta is a first and biggest national park in Hungary. The park in Hajdú-Bihar County is a part of the Northern Great Plain, and is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage site.
