Pastra is a small mountain village in the Rila Municipality of Kyustendil Province in south-western Bulgaria. As of 2013, it had 151 inhabitants. Rila is a town in Shopluk of Bulgaria, in the foothills of the southwestern Rila Mountains, on the banks of the Rilska River. It is the closest settlement to Rila Monastery, the center of both the religious and cultural spirit of the Bulgarian nation. Rila is situated 7 km west of Pastra.
