Heptapyrgion

The Heptapyrgion, modern Eptapyrgio, also popularly known by its Ottoman Turkish name Yedi Kule, is a Byzantine and Ottoman-era fortress situated on the north-eastern corner of the Acropolis of Thessaloniki in Greece.

The Church of Saint Demetrius, or Hagios Demetrios, is the main sanctuary dedicated to Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki, dating from a time when it was the second largest city of the Byzantine Empire. Hagios Demetrios is situated 5 km southwest of Thessaloniki.

The Byzantine Bath of the Upper City in Thessaloniki is one of the few and best preserved of the Byzantine baths that have survived from the Byzantine period in Greece. Byzantine Bath is situated 5 km southwest of Thessaloniki.

Evosmos is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kordelio-Evosmos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. Evosmos is situated 7 km west of Thessaloniki.
