Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki is the capital of Macedonia, and with one million inhabitants, the second largest city in Greece. It is a city with a continuous 3,000-year history, preserving relics of its Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman past and of its formerly dominant Jewish population.

Macedonia

Macedonia in northern Greece is the largest and second-most-populous region of Greece, with a population of about 2.4 million. It features scenic mountains such as Mount Olympus and the Rhodopes, the beaches of Chalkidiki, the heritage of Alexander's Kingdom of Macedon and the artistic flourishes of the Byzantine Empire.

Epirus is a region in the west of Northern Greece. The beaches of the coast are developed for tourism and well visited, while the mountainous interior receives little attention, even though it is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Greece.
