Çanakkale 1915 Bridge

The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge is a road suspension bridge in the province of Çanakkale in northwestern Turkey, first opened on 18 March 2022. Situated just southwest of the coastal towns of Lapseki and Gelibolu, the bridge spans the Dardanelles, about ten kilometres west of the Sea of Marmara. Çanakkale 1915 Bridge is situated 2½ km west of Lampsaki River.

Lampsacus was an ancient Greek city located in modern day Turkey, situated on the eastern side of the Hellespont in the northern Troad. An inhabitant of Lampsacus was called a Lampsacene. The name has been transmitted in the nearby modern town of Lapseki. Lampsacus is situated 2½ km northeast of Lampsaki River.
