Rožaje Municipality is one of the municipalities of Montenegro. The main centre and capital of the Rožaje municipality is Rožaje. It covers an area of 432 km2, and has a population of 23,184 inhabitants in the 2011 Census. It is located in northern Montenegro.Photo: Cako, CC BY-SA 2.5.

Sultan Murat II Mosque

Sultan Murat II Mosque is the biggest mosque in Rožaje and the biggest mosque in Montenegro. It was built at the same time as the nearby fortress by the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Murat II in 1450. It was rebuilt in 2008.

Kučanska Mosque is a part of the cultural Heritage of Rožaje. It was built in 1830. by the believers of the Kučanska mahalla which is named after their area of origin, the Kuči region.
