Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire is the highest mountain on the island of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean. Located in the Rivière Noire District and rising to a height of 828 m above sea level, it forms part of the Black River mountain range.

La Preneuse is a public beach in western coast of the island Mauritius in the district of Rivière Noire located in the village of Black River. It was named after a French ship, the frigate Preneuse, which served as a commerce raider at Isle de France and was also involved in a naval battle with the British in the 18th century. La Preneuse is situated 8 km northwest of Black River Gorges.
