Kaluwanchikudy is a town in the Batticaloa District of Sri Lanka. It is located about 30 km southeast of Batticaloa. It is divided into three village officer divisions: Kaluvanchikudy North, Kaluvanchikudy North1 and Kaluvanchikudy South. Kaluvanchikudy is situated 8 km north of Turaineelavanai.

Karaitivu is a coastal village situated in the Eastern Coast of Sri Lanka about 30 miles south of Batticaloa and is next to Kalmunai town. This is one of the oldest surviving village settlements in the Ampara District. Karaitivu is situated 9 km southeast of Turaineelavanai.
