Kumarapuram is a small village in Trincomalee district in Sri Lanka. The village was founded in 1981 by Kumarathurai, after whom it is named. It was the scene of the Kumarapuram massacre in 1996.

Mulliyawalai or Mulliyavalai is a town in northern Sri Lanka. It is divided into five village officer divisions: Mulliyawalai Centre, Mulliyawalai East, Mulliyawalai North, Mulliyawalai South, and Mulliyawalai West. Mulliyawalai is situated 4½ km west of Chilavattai Kulam.
