Uttarpara

Uttarpara is an industrial town on the western bank of the Hooghly River, in the district of . Close to , Uttarpara was a major automobile hub with India's first car factory, and although the city faced decline from the 1990s till the 2020s, it has been revived as a major manufacturing hub for metro vehicles in India.
