Kolkata

Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, is one of the largest in India, with a metro population of over 22.5 million. Once called Calcutta in colonial times and is still fondly called as such, the city once served as the capital of the British Raj till 1911.
East Kolkata

East Kolkata comprises the new areas on the eastern side of the metropolis that have been growing since the 1990s. It houses the IT hub of Kolkata, shopping emporia, amusement parks and splurge hotels.
Southern Suburbs

South 24 Parganas
