Nilkantha

Nilkantha is a major peak of the Garhwal division of the , in the region of the state of . Although substantially lower than the highest peaks of the region, it towers dramatically over the valley of the and rises 3,474 metres above the Hindu pilgrimage site of , only 9 km to the east.
