Fort William, officially Vijay Durg, is a fort in Hastings, Calcutta. It was built during the early years of Britain's administration of Bengal. It sits on the eastern banks of the River Hooghly, the major distributary of the River Ganga. Fort William is situated 1½ km south of Maidan.

Eden Gardens is a railway station in Kolkata under the Kolkata Circular Railway system. It belongs to the Eastern Railway. The station code is EDG. The station gets its name due to its proximity to the famous cricket stadium Eden Gardens of the same name. Eden Gardens railway station is situated 600 metres southeast of Maidan.
