The Great Mosque of Khost, or simply the Khost Mosque, is the largest mosque in the city of Khost, in southeastern Afghanistan. It can hold up to 2,000 worshipers during any prayer. Khost Great Mosque is situated 3 km south of Wurdah Khēl.

Forward Operating Base Salerno is a former Forward Operating Base used by the United States Army from 2002 to 2013 during Operation Enduring Freedom. It is located in the southeastern province of Khost, Afghanistan, near the city of Khost. FOB Salerno is situated 3½ km east of Wurdah Khēl.
