In June 2025, Đồng Hỷ Commune was established through the merger of the entire natural area and population of Hóa Thượng Township, Sông Cầu Township, Minh Lập Commune, and Hóa Trung Commune of Đồng Hỷ District. Sông Cầu is situated 3½ km northeast of Làng Lam.
