In June 2025, Bằng Thành Commune was established through the merger of the entire natural area and population of Bằng Thành Commune, Bộc Bố Commune, Nhạn Môn Commune, and Giáo Hiệu Commune of Pác Nặm District. Bộc Bố is situated 7 km east of Bang Pu.
