Maha Sarakham province, also written Maha Sarakham or Mahasarakham, known locally and simply as Sarakham, is one of the 76 provinces of Thailand which lies in central northeastern Thailand, also called Isan. Maha Sarakham Province is situated 9 km east of Thanon Thinanon.

Maha Sarakham is the capital city of Maha Sarakham province in Thailand's northeastern region. Sarakham, as it is known to its inhabitants, is in a rice-growing area on the southern Khorat plain, straddling the Chi River.
