Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan, is a sculpture park 25 km southeast from Vientiane, Laos, in a meadow by the Mekong River. Although it is not a temple, it may be referred to as Wat Xieng Khuan, since it contains numerous religious images.

Nong Khai is a city in Isaan. The city lies on the west bank of the Mekong River, 20 km from Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Known as the Naga City and famed for its lovely position on the Mekong, Nong Khai is a bustling Thai town and the gateway to Laos and Vientiane.

Nong Khai province was formerly the northernmost of the northeastern provinces of Thailand until its eight eastern districts were split off to form Thailand's newest province, Bueng Kan province, in 2011. Nong Khai Province is situated 4 km south of Muang Hatxayfong.
