Yongdingmen

Yongdingmen, was the former front gate of the outer city of . Originally built in 1553 during Ming Dynasty, it was torn down in the 1950s to make way for the new road system in Beijing.

The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious Confucian buildings situated in the southeastern part of central . The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and then later restored by the Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest and other seasonal rites. is situated 1½ km northeast of Yongdingmen.

Yongdingmenwai station is an interchange station on Line 8 and Line 14 of the Beijing Subway. The Line 14 station was opened on December 26, 2015. The Line 8 station was opened on December 30, 2018. is situated 700 metres south of Yongdingmen.
