Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests

The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious Confucian buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and then later restored by the Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest and other seasonal rites. Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is situated 1½ km northeast of Yongdingmen.

The National Natural History Museum of China, previously the Beijing Museum of Natural History, is a municipal public natural history museum in Dongcheng, Beijing, China. National Natural History Museum of China is situated 1¼ km north of Yongdingmen.

Yongdingmenwai station is an interchange station on Line 8 and Line 14 of the Beijing Subway. The Line 14 station was opened on December 26, 2015. The Line 8 station was opened on December 30, 2018. Outer Yongdingmen is situated 700 metres south of Yongdingmen.

Dongcheng District is in Beijing. It means "east city" and appropriately enough covers the eastern half of the old, imperial city. Most visitors to the city will come here to visit both Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace.
