Yongdingmen
Yongdingmen was the former front gate of the outer city of Beijing's old city wall. Originally built in 1553 during Ming Dynasty, it was torn down in the 1950s to make way for the new road system in Beijing.Photo: Kallgan, Public domain.

Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests

The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious Confucian buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and then later restored by the Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for a good harvest and other seasonal rites. Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is situated 1½ km northeast of Yongdingmen.

Yongdingmenwai station is an interchange station on Line 8 and Line 14 of the Beijing Subway. The Line 14 station was opened on December 26, 2015. The Line 8 station was opened on December 30, 2018. Outer Yongdingmen is situated 700 metres south of Yongdingmen.
