Yongdingmenwai

Yongdingmenwai Subdistrict is a subdistrict in the southern part of Dongcheng District, , China. By the year 2020, it has a population of 64,790. The subdistrict got its name from , a former front gate on the .

Yongdingmenwai station is an interchange station on Line 8 and Line 14 of the Beijing Subway. The Line 14 station opened on December 26, 2015. The Line 8 station was opened on December 30, 2018.

was the former front gate of the outer city of . Originally built in 1553 during Ming Dynasty, it was torn down in the 1950s to make way for the new road system in Beijing.
