The Istana Nurul Iman is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, and the seat of the Brunei government. The palace is located on a leafy, riverside sprawl of hills on the banks of the Brunei River, a few kilometres southwest of Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei's capital city. Nurul Iman Palace is situated 3 km northwest of Bukit Buang Sakar.

Sibungor Island is an islet on the Brunei River in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. A proposal for an 8 hectares protection status to be implemented on the island. The island is home to proboscis monkeys and forest swamps. Sibungor Island is situated 2½ km northeast of Bukit Buang Sakar.
