Choeung Ek is a site in Dangkao on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, that was used as a Killing Field between 1977 and 1979 by the Khmer Rouge to perpetrate the Cambodian genocide. Choeung Ek Genocidal Center is situated 3½ km east of Phumĭ Prâkar.

It lies in the Tonlé Bassac River near Chaktomuk, where the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers meet and the Bassac River branches off; it forms part of Chamkar Mon District and faces Koh Norea across the river. Koh Pich is situated 10 km northeast of Phumĭ Prâkar.
