Sungyang Seowon

Sungyang Hall is a fourteenth-century Confucian academy located on the side of Mt. Janam in Kaesong, North Korea. The hall was constructed in the late fourteenth century for the home of the famously loyal statesman and Confucian scholar Chŏng Mong-ju, whose 1392 assassination by the agents of the later Taejo of Joseon marked the end of the Koryo dynasty. Sungyang Seowon is situated 3 km northwest of Taesaam-dong.

Kaesŏng station is a railway station located in Kaesŏng, North Korea. It is located on the P'yŏngbu Line, which was formed from part of the Kyŏngŭi Line to accommodate the shift of the capital from Seoul to P'yŏngyang; though this line physically connects P'yŏngyang to Pusan via Dorasan, in operational reality trains terminate here due to the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Kaesong Station is situated 4 km northwest of Taesaam-dong.

Kijŏng-dong, Kijŏngdong, Kijŏng tong or Kaepoong is a Potemkin village in P'yŏnghwa-ri, Panmun-guyok, Kaesong Special City, North Korea. It is situated in the North's half of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Kijong-dong is situated 7 km east of Taesaam-dong.

Panmunjeom, also P'anmunjŏm, is on the demarcation line between North and South Korea. It is a living relic of the Cold War era. It can only be visited on an organized tour.

Daeseong-dong is a village in South Korea close to the North Korean border. It lies within the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The village is about 1.6 kilometres south of the Bridge of No Return, and 12 km from the city of Kaesong, North Korea. Daeseong-dong is situated 9 km east of Taesaam-dong.
