Kaesŏng is a city in North Korea, only 8 km from the DMZ with South Korea. Twelve historic monuments and sites in Kaesong were inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013.

Kijŏng-dong, Kijŏngdong, Kijŏng tong or Kaepoong is reportedly a Potemkin village in P'yŏnghwa-ri, Panmun-guyok, Kaesong Special City, North Korea. It is situated in the North's half of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Kijong-dong is situated 9 km southeast of Pinggo-dong.

Panmunjeom, also P'anmunjŏm, is on the demarcation line between North and South Korea. It is a living relic of the Cold War era. It can only be visited on an organized tour.
