Alas is a town in Alas Administrative Post, Timor-Leste. It is located in the interior of the island, 294 metres above sea level. As the crow flies, Alas is 56 km southeast of the state capital Dili and 7 km to the east of Same. Alas is situated 9 km north of Feriksare.

Betano is a village and suco in the southwest of Manufahi District, East Timor. In 2004, the suco had 4,577 inhabitants. The Betano Power Station, located in the Betano suco, is the biggest electricity station in Timor by capacity. Betano is situated 9 km southwest of Feriksare.
