Alma
Alma is a small town in South Australia halfway between the Wakefield River, to the north, and River Light to the south. Alma, Alma South and Alma Plains were named for the cadastral Hundred of Alma in which they lie, which was in turn named after the Battle of the Alma, the site of an allied victory in the Crimean War.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Owen is a rural community in the heart of the Adelaide Plains. Owen is 46 metres above sea-level and receives a reliable 416 mm of rain annually. First settled in about 1865, it is about 80 km north of Adelaide in South Australia and is approximately 40 minutes by road to the nearest main regional centre of Gawler. Owen is situated 8 km west of Alma.
