Stannum is a small tin mining village on the Northern Tablelands, in the New England region of , . in Tenterfield Shire. It is 14 kilometres north north-west of and south-west of and 48 kilometres from .The village is situated on a plateau known as the Mole Tableland in close proximity to the border on the Northern Tablelands.
