Haruru Falls is a five-metre-high waterfall near the settlement of Haruru in the Far North District of New Zealand, three kilometres west of Paihia. In the Māori language, the word haruru means 'continuous noise or roar'.

The Treaty House at Waitangi in Northland, New Zealand, is the former house of the British Resident in New Zealand, James Busby. The Treaty of Waitangi, the document that established the British Colony of New Zealand, was signed in the grounds of the Treaty House on 6 February 1840. Treaty House is situated 3½ km northeast of Waitangi River.

Haruru is a residential and commercial locality in the Far North District of New Zealand. State Highway 11 runs through the locality. Puketona is 10 kilometres west, and Paihia is 4 kilometres east, The name means a continuous noise or roar in the Māori language, which refers to the sound of Haruru Falls, a five metre high broad waterfall about a kilometre away.
