The Waiariki River is a river of the Northland Region of New Zealand's North Island. It forms at the confluence of the Waikiore and Pukekaikiore Streams and is in the catchment of the Wairua River, which it reaches by the Waiotu River, approximately halfway between Whangārei and Kawakawa.Places in the Area

Hūkerenui is a settlement in Northland, New Zealand. State Highway 1 passes through the area. Kawakawa is northwest, and Hikurangi is southeast. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "large cascade" for Hukerenui. Hūkerenui is situated 4 km northwest of Waiariki River.
