Tauanui is a 351 m high basaltic scoria cone in the Kaikohe-Bay of Islands volcanic field in New Zealand. It is the youngest volcano of the southern part of the field, having erupted around 60,000 years ago, and also the southernmost of the group.

Tautoro is a locality about 8 km south-southeast of Kaikohe in Northland, New Zealand. Further to the south is the Awarua rural community. The eastern part of the locality has a hill Tautoro at 463 m in height, and Lake Tauanui which has sometimes also been given the locality's name. Tautoro is situated 3½ km northwest of Tauanui Lake.
