Socoura
Town
Socoura is a village and rural commune in the Cercle of Mopti in the Mopti Region of Mali. The commune contains 28 small villages and in 2009 had a population of 36,983. Socoura is situated 3½ km southeast of Sokarel.

Sévaré is a city in Mali's Mopti Region. It is a crossroads town of about 40,000. It lies on the main route through Mali between Gao in the east, and Segou and Bamako in the west. Many travellers pass through Sévaré en route to Mopti and Bandiagara.
