The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974.

Bordj El Kiffan is a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is in the eastern section of the city, near Matares Beach. Named Fort de l'Eau under French rule prior to 1962, used to be a famous beach resort within the Bay of Algiers, complete with luxury hotels and a casino.
