North Huish
North Huish is a village, civil parish, former ecclesiastical parish and former manor in the South Hams district of Devon, England. The village is situated about 8 miles south-west of the town of Totnes. The River Avon runs through the settlement and the village's name derives from avon meaning river, and wick an old word for village, but it was not so named until the 1870s, previously being known as Newhouse.
