Fordham War Memorial

Fordham War Memorial is a First World War memorial in the village of Fordham in Cambridgeshire in eastern England. The memorial was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens with sculpture by Sir George Frampton and closely resembles Hove War Memorial in East Sussex, which was also a collaboration between Lutyens and Frampton.

Soham Wet Horse Fen is a 33.8-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Soham in Cambridgeshire. A 3.6-hectare field in the north-west corner is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire as Soham Meadow. Soham Meadow is situated 1½ miles northwest of Fordham.

Geographically, it is relatively flat and has the River Kennet, a tributary of the River Lark locally known as the Lee Brook, cutting through the centre of the village. Freckenham is situated 2½ miles east of Fordham.
