Coverack is a coastal village and fishing port in Cornwall, UK. It lies in the parish of St Keverne, on the east side of the Lizard peninsula about nine miles south of Falmouth.

The name Ponsongath comes from the Cornish language Pons an Gath, which means 'the cat bridge'. Ponsongath is situated 2 miles northwest of Black Head.
