The Church of San Giovanni Battista is located in the alpine village of Mogno in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It was built between 1994 and 1996 on the site of an older church, which was levelled by an avalanche in 1986. Church of San Giovanni Battista, Mogno is situated 3½ km north of Sornico.

Peccia is one of six municipalities in the canton of Ticino which merged in April 2004 to form the commune of Lavizzara, with about 1000 people. The other municipalities were Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio, and Prato-Sornico.
