Grimselsee
The Grimselsee or Lake Grimsel is an artificial lake near the Grimsel Pass in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland. With a volume of 95 million m3, it is larger than other hydroelectric reservoirs in the Aare headwaters region: Oberaarsee, Räterichsbodensee and Gelmersee.Photo: Wikimedia, CC BY-SA 3.0.

Gletsch is a hamlet in the German-speaking half of the canton of Valais, located in the upper Rhone valley, called Obergoms, 2.5 kilometres, southeast below the Rhone Glacier's mouth and itself the headwaters of the Rhône. Gletsch is situated 4½ km east of Grimselsee.
