Östersund Central Station or Östersund C is the main railway station serving Östersund, Sweden. It is located on the Middle Line and the Inland Line and is served by SJ, Norrtåg, Snälltåget and Inlandsbanan- Trains leave for Stockholm a couple of times per day and once a day by Inlandsbanan to Gällivare or to Mora. Östersund Central Station is situated 3 km northeast of Knytta.

Fillstabäcken Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in Jämtland County in Sweden. It is part of the EU-wide Natura 2000-network. The nature reserve contains Sweden's most extensive area of tufa, formed by a spring that has deposited calcium carbonate here for around 5,000 years. Fillstabäcken Nature Reserve is situated 3 km west of Knytta.

Frösöstenen is the northernmost raised runestone in Scandinavia and Jämtland's only runestone. It originally stood at the tip of ferry terminal on the sound between the island of Frösön and Östersund. Frösö Runestone is situated 4 km north of Knytta.
