Wilnis is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, between Mijdrecht and Vinkeveen. It is about twenty kilometres south of Amsterdam. Wilnis was a separate municipality until 1989. Wilnis is situated 2½ km southeast of Mijdrecht.

Waverveen was a separate municipality until 1841, when it was merged with Vinkeveen to form the municipality of Vinkeveen en Waverveen. Waverveen is situated 3 km northeast of Mijdrecht.
