IJsseloog

The IJsseloog is an artificial island in the Ketelmeer used as a depository to store polluted silt. Most of the polluted silt was deposited in the Ketelmeer by the IJssel river between 1950 and 1990. IJsseloog is situated 2½ km northwest of Keteldiep.

Schokland is a former island in the Dutch Zuiderzee, in the municipality of Noordoostpolder. Schokland was an elongated strip of peat land which ceased to be an island when the Noordoostpolder was reclaimed from the sea in 1942. Schokland is situated 6 km north of Keteldiep.
