Oostburg is a city in the south-western Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Sluis, in the province of Zeeland. As of 1 January 2015, its population is 4731, down from 5008 in January 2005.

Sluis is a charming small historic city in Zeelandic Flanders, in the far southwest of Zeeland. Although it was largely destroyed by Allied bombs at the end of WWII, the city ramparts, belfry and windmill right in the centre of town give this nicely rebuilt place a historic touch.

The village was first mentioned in 1740 as "de Kerk op Waterland, en doorgaans Nieuw of Klein Kerkje geheeten", and means "little church of Waterland". Waterlandkerkje is situated 4 km east of Grote Gat.
